But here's where it gets exciting: the identity of the person (or people!) behind these creative makeovers remains the village's best-kept secret. Despite endless speculation, the mastermind(s) stay hidden, adding an extra layer of mystery and fun to the annual tradition.
This year, the statue proudly displays a sign reading, "Chase is on the Christmas Case," perfectly capturing the spirit of the character and the season. Amber Cumming, a local resident, shared her delight, especially since Paw Patrol is her three-year-old son's favorite show. She perfectly captured the essence of the event, stating, "The anticipation builds as Christmas approaches, and the reveal never disappoints. The dressed-up statue brings the community together, and it's heartwarming to see children and adults alike react with such excitement when they see it."
Over the years, the statue has donned various guises, including beloved characters like Bluey, Pinocchio, Pingu, and Peppa Pig. It even paid tribute to a World War Two soldier in May to mark Victory in Europe Day.
