Fantasy Baseball SP Roundup 4/12: Cade Parade - Pitcher List (2026)

Welcome to the SP Roundup, my daily fantasy baseball article reviewing every starting pitcher's performance from every Sunday game. I apologize for the jokes written in my delirium in advance. Have questions? Ask me during my office hours on Twitch.tv (https://twitch.tv/pitcherlist) weekday mornings from 10 am-12 pm ET.

Cade Povich (BAL)

Cade Povich (https://pitcherlist.com/player/cade-povich/) had a solid outing, but I'm still hesitant to jump on the bandwagon. His four-seamer is impressive, but the movement and velocity don't quite match up. The sinker to left-handed batters was wild, and the secondaries, particularly the curveball, need improvement. I'm not convinced by the whiff rates, and the changeup needs to be more effective. Povich is a work in progress, and while he might be worth a stream against the Guardians, I'm not fully sold on his long-term potential.

José Soriano (LAA)

Soriano's performance was absurd, with a 100% LOB rate and a high strike rate on his four-seamer. However, his putaway rate and whiff rate on the sinker are unsustainable. I'm not sure if the market is right for a 'sell high' strategy, and holding might be a better option until he shows more consistency.

Drew Rasmussen (TBR)

Rasmussen is back with dad strength, and his schedule is looking good. His performance was solid, and I'm optimistic about his future starts.

Aaron Civale (ATH)

Civale's ERA and WHIP are impressive, but I'm not convinced it will stick. He's not a reliable stream against the White Sox, and I'm not sure if he's worth the risk.

Nick Pivetta (SDP)

Pivetta's elbow stiffness is a concern, and his velocity is dropping. The lack of a dominant heater and inconsistent secondaries make him a risky option.

Logan Gilbert (SEA)

Gilbert's four-seamer is impressive, and he's experimenting with a new cutter and kick-change. I'm optimistic about his future starts, but the secondaries need to improve.

Tarik Skubal (DET)

Skubal's velocity and extension are down, but his performance is still solid. I'm not worried about the weather affecting his starts.

Brandon Woodruff (MIL)

Woodruff's sinkers are fewer this year, but his performance is consistent. I'm not sure if the lineups will even out, but he's a reliable option.

Chris Sale (ATL)

Sale's performance was solid, but he allowed too many hits. I'm not worried about the 'disaster frame' this time.

Freddy Peralta (NYM)

Peralta's velocity and extension are down, but I'm not sure how real it is this early in the season. Manaea's relief performance was impressive, but it's not sustainable.

Jacob deGrom (TEX)

deGrom's performance was impressive, but he allowed a first-pitch Ohtani HR. I'm glad his knee is alright.

Andrew Painter (PHI)

Painter's performance was solid, but his splitter/slider/curve needs improvement. The sweeper and slider to right-handed batters were effective, but the lack of a dominant heater is a concern.

Taj Bradley (MIN)

Bradley's performance was solid, but the four walks are a concern. I'm not sure if the disaster start is imminent, but the Reds Carpet and @TBR schedule might be a problem.

Brayan Bello (BOS)

Bello's performance in St. Louis was solid, but he needs to find more punchouts. I'm not holding onto him if I started him here.

Roki Sasaki (LAD)

Sasaki's performance was concerning, with five walks and a low strikeout rate. The Dodgers might need to call up River Ryan soon.

Cody Bolton (HOU)

Bolton's performance was horrific, and I'm not sure if he's a reliable option.

Bubba Chandler (PIT)

Chandler's performance improved, and he's getting a better schedule. I'm starting to love him.

Zack Littell (WSN)

Littell's performance was boring, and I'm not sure if he's a reliable option.

Cam Schlittler (NYY)

Schlittler's performance puts a hitch on his AGA journey for now. I'm optimistic about his future starts.

Zac Gallen (ARI)

Gallen's performance was disappointing, and I'm not sure if he's a reliable option.

Adrian Houser (SFG)

Houser's performance was solid, but his velocity is still a concern. I'm considering him for deeper leagues.

Noah Cameron (KCR)

Cameron's performance was miserable, and the weather didn't help. I'm not sure if he's a reliable option.

Jameson Taillon (CHC)

Taillon's performance was impressive, but the grand slam in the second frame was a setback. I'm cautious about his next start against the Mets.

Sandy Alcantara (MIA)

Alcantara's performance was disappointing, and I'm not sure if the floor still exists. I'm not holding onto him.

Andre Pallante (STL)

Pallante's performance was atrocious, and I'm not sure if he's a reliable option.

Andrew Abbott (CIN)

Abbott's performance was horrible, and I'm not sure if he'll last. I'm not convinced by his command.

Tanner Bibee (CLE)

Bibee's performance was disappointing, and I'm not sure if he's a reliable option. I wanted to believe in his four-seamer, but the precision isn't there.

Max Scherzer (TOR)

Scherzer's performance was disappointing, and I'm not sure if he's a reliable option. I'm cautious about his next starts.

Game of the Day

Ryne Nelson vs. Baltimore Orioles - I love watching his heater, and I hope the secondaries come alive in Baltimore.
